John grew up in the United States and has worked as a self-employed translator in Germany for over 28 years. He has translated over 20 full-length medical books from German to English. He has a CELTA certificate; a Master of Arts degree from the Free University of Berlin in German literature, medieval German, and philosophy from the Free University of Berlin; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. Currently John works as an English and German language teacher at Language Link School in Rostov.
